Getting started

Welcome to the iFellowship Program at the Biodesign School!
If you have come here thinking that all you will do in the next two years is to develop a medical device, you are up for a surprise! In reality, the medical device will be an outcome of your personal transformation.

'You’ll graduate as innovators, problem
solvers and change makers.'

Manasi Kulkarni and Priyankar Shivhare (2017 iFellow)
Hello 2018 fellows!
We have put together a set of tasks that we would like you to complete over the next week and a half. We want you to form 2 teams, and visit the places listed out for you. Each place has a specific task assigned which you must complete and record. In the end compile a video story of your experience.
This is your chance to get to know one another and bond.

Biodesign brings together people from different backgrounds like clinicians, engineers, designers and researchers. With such diverse disciplines coming together, team-building activities become essential in helping the team warm up to each other and form a cohesive collective. A team activity could be anything from cooking a dinner to planning a trip together.

The idea is assign the group an actionable task, put them under pressure and bring out their bright and not-so-bright sides, in a short time frame. The team members should see these activities as a way to understand each others idiosyncrasies, strengths, weaknesses, and unique perspectives.

Our first week then started with the ‘ceremonial biodesign treasure hunt’ to help familiarize us with the AIIMS(All India Institute of Medical Sciences) campus, its surrounding areas and the myriad city of Delhi; warming us up for the beginning of the program.
